ok, I got a question and I swear no disrespect meant to any catholics but:
Since the pope's died and they hvven't even found themselves another one yet, if Catholics have problems or need intersession or whatever are they just screwed till the next pope is picked? Like are they all doomed to hell if they die cause they ain't got a pope? In government we elect a new pres while the old one's still around and if something happens to the president there's always a backup guy till they elect a new one. So why don't catholics do this? They new the pope was sick, why haven't they yet done anything to get another one? And seriously where's the divine intervention during the wait?

Hmm, interesting question. Well, I'm sure God understands that we're between popes right now. It's church law that the new one can't be elected until no less than fifteen days and no more than twenty days after the previous pope's death. As for going to Hell, that depends on the person. If you're really bad, you'll head down there. If you're really good, you're in Heaven. And if you're in between, you're in God's waiting room, and I'm not talking about Florida. Hope that clears things up a bit. I'm sure some theologian could explain it better.

But why do we need a pope to intercede between us and God? I personally follow God, not some other sinful earthly man who claims to have power to contact with God. In the Bible it says that Jesus is the bridge between us and God, so where does a pope come in? and I'd still like to hear everyone's take on my first uestion.
